My Story

My name is Jori Mason. I live in a small town in Northwest Ohio with my husband, Kyle, and our two kids, JT and Janie. I grew up just 20 miles from here, but life first took us much farther away. After college, Kyle and I moved to Naples, Florida, where we spent 11 years as teachers. We got married there, and our son JT was born there.

A few years later, we knew we wanted to grow our family and raise our children closer to loved ones. Four years ago, we took a leap of faith—leaving our teaching jobs, moving back home with no concrete plan, and buying Kyle’s great-grandparents’ small farm.

In Florida, living on two teachers’ salaries, our first home had to be a “fixer-upper.” We found a property that needed endless work and dove in headfirst—armed with very little experience and a lot of determination. With contractor quotes way out of our budget, I had no choice but to learn new skills. I taught myself how to lay flooring, install drywall and cabinets, hang trim, gut and refinish bathrooms—pretty much everything needed to transform a house.

When we moved into our 1914 farmhouse in Ohio, I knew the work ahead of us, and this time, I was ready. We wanted to preserve its history, which meant learning even more—building custom kitchen cabinets from scratch, matching original trim, and refinishing hardwood floors. With each project, I found myself falling in love with working with my hands and turning something old or worn into something beautiful.

Once the renovations were done, our house looked beautiful, but it still didn’t feel like home. That changed when I began filling the walls with family photos and handmade signs—each with uplifting messages to inspire and bring joy. Words are powerful, and those signs transformed the feeling of our home.

Friends began asking me to make signs for them, and soon I was getting requests from people I’d never met. Even though life was busy and the timing didn’t seem “perfect,” I decided to embrace this passion as a creative outlet and a way to help support our family.

For me, creating is more than just making decor—it’s about crafting pieces that mean something. Every sign I make is built with care, attention to detail, and the hope that it will bring warmth and inspiration to someone’s home.

A handmade sign isn’t just decoration. It’s a reflection of your style, your values, and your story. I feel honored every time I get to help someone bring a little beauty and meaning into their space.
